to be honest, if we're talking a free language degree, i wouldn't even be thinking in terms of how much money it can get me or what career paths it opens, but it if it's a language i'd enjoy knowing, so i'd definitely go with japanese since it'll help with all the weebshit and it'll be easy to keep the knowledge alive. and japan is a more interesting place to visit than germany, imo. idk how fluent you'll be but you won't walk out a clueless retard like you would with an """"""intense"""" six month language course. also i wouldn't take the bare minimum unless i really started hating it midway.
