>tfw Sees Human Sexuality in the 2020's
I still remain unconvinced that this phenomenon of men wanting to be women and vise-versa is not simply something that's being done for attention and fashion (a trend). Their numbers have grown exponentially in such a short amount of time that it defies all explanation.
When I was in high school, I dated this firecracker redhead whose little brother was a closet-crossdresser. He was the ONLY "trans" person I ever knew or even saw back then (and I'm from MA). One night my gf and I were tasked with picking him up from his school dance. He was very disheveled and acting strange, had makeup residue on his face, and a bag with him. It was full of his sister's (my gf's) clothes. Needless to say, that was an awkward car ride. Those two were constantly arguing about him stealing her clothes (including underwear). Even his progressive liberal parents were VERY against his crossdressing. That was in 2005 and it was my first run-in with this plague.
The only other thing close to trans that I'd seen in public was when I took a trip to Provincetown, MA, which is a (in)famously pro-LGBT hotspot. Years ago, it was basically Mecca for fags on the East Coast. Fags and carpet cleaners held hands and kissed openly there, and there were drag shows at the two or three local bars in the town. However, even in "P-Town", trannies were rare.
TLDR up to now: Transvestites were always seen as part of an extremely small subculture—a fringe group even amongst gays.
So what changed? What suddenly made several thousand young men and women want to switch genders? Is it really just for fame and attention on social media, are hormonal imbalances to blame, or both)?). or is it something else entirely?
pol posts about this constantly, but nobody ever really seems to get into the meat of the how and why of it—aside from the very tip of this giant shitberg.

I need answers frens.
