>>16456791>What are the logical reasons we haven't seen any sign of other civilization out there?Imagine that you're a member of a lost island tribe that hasn't had contact with other humabs for 2000 years.. You see no unkown canoos on the ocean. No fires burning in the horizon, not a single sign of intelligent life.
Sometimes you see a fast moving star that blinnks red or green, you assume this is natural, just something some stars do. Sometimes you hear thunder on cloud free days, the sound can last for minutrs, probably just what happens when thunder storms are beyond the horizon.
You conclude theat you're alone, there are no more humans, just more ocean, and you could never build a canno that could cross it, the distances are just to long.
Meanwhile you constantly have radio waves all around you, satilites photographing you, people see your island from their airplane windows. Intelligent life is all around you, youre saturated with it, but you can't even begin to imagine it. You could never imagine wierless internet and 3G signals traveling through you. As far as you know invisible communication can't exist as it breaks the laws of nature.
Thats us today. We don't see anyone because we don't know where to look. Just as the island native can't imagine EM waves we can't imagine what even more advanced civilizations use. The notion that our forms of communication are the best that are physically possible and that advanced interstellar civilizations would use them are pure hybris.
