Islam basically gave arabs an excuse to behave like negros, pillage, and rape. It gave them a narrative/cult they could rally around and use that to form a culture.
Christianity however, spread despite persecution. Why would people become martyrs? What is there to gain? With Islam's spread, there was much to gain: land, women, money, power, etc. The nature of Christianity's survival despite it not offering anything worldly to its adherents is a testament to its truth. Now you don't have to believe that, but God also won't force you to be with Him for eternity.
