Apparently it's the temperature peak today (about 30 degrees), it'll drop a bit in the next week. Probably going to rain again.
Anyway, I walked through one of my favourite spots in the woods on my way home today. It's very nice there; it's an "island" that's bordered on the west and the north by a road. In the east, there's another slope and in the south, it comes down to a village but there's one part where there's a drop and there's a very nice view of the basin there.
You can't see it from the road in the north because there's a lot of trees and bushes there and there's a bit of a drop but once you get down there, the pines grow a bit further apart and the whole place is covered in grass. In some places, it's knee high but it's mostly about ankle-length. There's also these big isolated rocks (it's an alpine karst landscape) so it's a very interesting little place. Hikers drive by there every day in summer but not a lot of people know about it, just the locals.
