>>13141044>There were no outside observers who saw Jesus's supernatural works and transcribed itThat is correct. That is also not good reason to dismiss Jesus, because, as I said, in the ancient world people did not write things down. They kept oral traditions.
>St. Paul made 3 voyages around the entire sea preaching to the different churches, and all that was within 30 years of His Resurrection. (St. Paul died around 62-64 AD).>Paul wasn't an eyewitness. The point is that there were tons of Christian communities around "the world" at that time. How do you explain the persistence of them? If some guy just came up to you and said "yeah so this Jewish guy died for us and you're saved, bro" they would've just shrugged. But the RAPID explosion of the church is an indicator that it was actually backed by a real event.
>Muslims will kill themselves over itYes, but they kill themselves over something they believe to be true. What I'm trying to express is that the early Christians really did believe that Jesus Christ was risen from the dead. How could you make that stuff up and then die for it? It doesn't make sense.
One last thing: in Christianity, salvation is by faith. In all other religions, salvation is by works. Salvation-by-works is a natural way of thinking for man - we want to believe that we can work our way to heaven. The message of the gospel - from a human point of view - is so absurd that it's hard to believe that it was created by people. Islam was created by a man Mohammed, and they teach salvation by works. Really makes you think where this narrative comes from since it's so contrary to what we actually want.
