>>7412714Back in the late 90s, TV stations here made the switch from static at night to transmitting something. Anything. A fireplace, a fishtank, reruns, Germany's train tracks (i.e. the view from the train driver's place).
Bavaria 3 used to have the "Space Night". After midnight, they would first transmit the Bavarian National Anthem, then the German National Anthem, and then hours of hours of "Space Night". They would take the films that NASA shot out of an orbiting Space Shuttle, from the bay door to the Earth. So you'd see the Earth rotating beneath you, and they'd bring chillout loung music up on the audio with that.
