>>20364015How does Reincarnation comes into play Vs. the belief that a man or women can come back as a either or?
I have a theory that Encuchs or being born again as a women or a man in the next lifetime was a way to cope with those that no longer wanted to handle the positions of being a man or a women as these roles were very rigid in order for any sort of community of people to function outside of hunter/ gatherer nomadic lifestyles.
If you were a man and wanted to do art or make clothing, that would denote you to be a female role. (Generally speaking) Or say you liked to cook or bake or take a female designated task in that particular culture you existed in.
So I wonder if this was a natural evolution to the thought that hopefully, you could come back in the next lifetime and be either / or to pursue your dreams of being a painter , story teller, etc. Whatever gender norms were at the time for positions or jobs.
Add to the fact that some men did not want these roles, would make it perfectly feasible for a man to want to take on a women role. (easy for a man) and a woman doing a man's role as they see it as easy from their limited perspective.
Seems right up the alley with aristocracies wanting to do neither.
In order to do this, you need multiculturalism.
Otherwise, a monoethnic & Monocultural society would enforce gender conformity & discourage changing gender roles in that society. Thus never allowing people to change their lot in life.
Brilliant really for those on top.
