>>9129874>what do you find in drinking vodka - neet?Just in case you didn't know, neat means no mixing, no ice, just the liquor in a glass.
I manage a nightclub, so I've tried just about everything my distributors have to offer.
A good vodka is like a good anything else.
Rare to find, and likely to be discontinued a week after you find it, or else quickly become too expensive.
Vodka has a specific flavor. I can tell the difference between wheat, potato, and beet vodkas just by the smell. Any herbs used are also noticeable, as well as the regions in which it's starch was grown.
I prefer smooth vodkas that have a peppery finish; best I've had in the last decade was called "SurReal" and was distilled in France using refurbished absinthe kettles and a mix of Polish and Russian potatoes mixed with an assortment of herbs, mostly anise.
Sadly, they went out of business about 2 years later, and my last case is almost gone.
protip for burgeralcoholics: almost any bottom-shelf, shit-tier vodka can be made drinkable if you run it through a carbon filter like a Brita pitcher a few times.
