campfire mode w/agony mode removes the cheese from quick save/load. You can only save while at a campfire and you cant save while in combat/emission/injured/irradiated/etcetera either
I died to two snorks way back and reloaded the last save at a campfire and got to retry that scenario instead of the distance 75 meter safezone cheese. In the end I learned how to approach that situation:
the problem was they were beyond the other side of a crest, and so all i did was gain the higher ground and some distance to rain 9x19mm bullets (mp5) onto them
