First off the anime isn't the original source, second, adapting a book isn't as easy as it seems and if they can't adapt a Dickens' novel properly with both TV series and movies let alone a long running LN. On top of that it's hard enough to find the time to write between classes and homework and my backlog doesn't allow me to stray from the genre, so I'm never going to read another LN anytime soon.
