AIDS aside, the 80s revolution was a good thing for the gay community. People are born that way and it wasn't fair to suppress them for something they had no control over. Ultimately the same is true for trans people, transexuality is a real thing, there are measurable, verifiable differences in the brains of trans people vs those of normal people. Even IF it's a bad idea to get a sex change, it's certainly not fair on those people to get attacked from so many angles online by people who can't even comprehend what they're going through, nor does what they're going through impact their lives in any meaningful way.
