Your options for repair and optimization are pretty limited because it's a laptop.
Most manufacturers use cheap thermal paste and fans. You can also get a stand with fans in it to help cool it down.
I'm fairly confident it's a thermal paste issue though if a BIOS reset didn't solve it.
Trust me when I say taking it to a shop is a waste of time and money. You'd be better off getting a new one or building a PC.
There's very little I can do without either remoting in to dump through a bunch of diagnostics or having the device in my own hands.
