It is not hidden or hard to understand it just requires enough dedication to read a long book. The history contained in the Bible is of God choosing some of the worst people on the planet to eventually bring about the ultimate good through the Messiah, and those people's rejection of him leading to them aligning themselves fully with Satan and staging perpetual revolution against the rest of the world. This fits in exactly with what is going on.
