if I had to guess I'd say he was fine with Moxxie ditching the family since he felt he never could amount to anything in the mob, but the moment he felt he could extract a large amount of money by throwing Moxxie to the wolves (shark), he grasped it with two hands
he just expected Moxxie to do what he said, get married, and then leave the family again
the fact he stood up to him, ruined his plan and humiliated him have pretty much solidified him as wanting to get revenge on Moxxie
