I spent my life in a cult.
I left after 20+ years as a monk and priest. I have no possessions, no car, no money, no house. I have no career prospects, no health insurance, no retirement. I have no wife and no children.
On top of that I am severely traumatized from years of religious abuse. I have extreme social anxiety and addiction issues. I am an obese diabetic with heart issues. For the last six years since I left it has been a challenge ever day not to blow my brains out.
But on the positive side I am truly working through a lot of issues. Hopefully I come out of this a better person. If I come out of this.
