sounds a lot like antimatter, which upon collision with regular matter releases bursty of EM spectrum waves, afaik akin to atom bombs which also create EMP effects
since only radiation present is x rays, gamma rays and milder ones like UV, visible and infrared the radiation waste is next to nill but the only way to actually deal with waves themselves would be with high density armours and shields
nice concepts I must say
head and chest protection also makes some sense as if somebody came real close you really wouldn't want those minovsky partcles that close to yourself, prevents infiltration without the risk of self harm
on this image you've posted now I also see traces of orange which complements blue rather nicely, also I like how the blue isn't the typical deep azure, it' s a nice colour but overused imho, this is sorta like greyish tinge blue, kinda like lapis lazuli oil paintings... closest I can get is the girl with pearl earring by Johannes Vermeer
