>>20903523Interesting, I've been fiddling with Booleans on ebay search to try and filter stuff out, wish I could filter by countries more specifically but well, whatever is doable now will have to do. I look stuff up on numista and cgb most of the time, they seem to cover a lot of bases, rest of the time web search does the trick eventually, haven't found any dead-ends yet, found recent editions of all the standard catalogs of world coins, then there's arcane mage stuff like the moneta collection.
Gripe I have with ebay, at least on the french side, a -lot- of people start their listing with a reserve price that's way higher than the hammer price they would get if anyone did bid, so no one does, and they're common coins, so it's a whole lot of listings that are a waste of time. Did see a cool listing a few days ago (I think it was posted years ago), but the seller seems to have gone inactive, I sent them a message and waiting for an answer with not much hope.
I won ebay auctions for some two tibetan mohar coins, listing was about to end so I had to hurry and try to figure out if they could be real or not, I think there's a chance, I'll give an update when they get here (the listing pictures had some kind of AI filter on them, guy probably hasn't noticed that's a thing on his phone).
