>So named for their metallic claws, Steel-Toe Badgers are eighty-pound wolf-sized mustelids native to the plane of Dia. Their fur is of a consistency similar to steel wool, and their highly territorial nature spurs them to engage those that intrude on their territory. They go berserk on the sight of their own blood, and can tear through light and shoddily-made armor in order to scoop out the flesh of their adversaries. A tribe of humans inhabiting the Timescape considers these creatures sacred and has managed to semi-domesticate them and cultivate the Steel-Toe Badger for their furs and claws, known as the Badger Tribe. Those with the closest connection to their animal spirit are said to be able to use badger pelts to voluntarily transform into a monstrous were-Badger, and there are rumors of this tribe attempting to colonize the prime plane.
