Meanwhile white people will continue to get ravaged by the opioid crisis, they’ll get hit the worst by immigration policy and economic downturns and they will still do nothing. I’m not white and I think I’ve done more to help whites than most troglodytes on here through church outreaches for these unfortunate people caught up with drugs in the most affected parts of the state. Breaks my heart seeing old logging and tight knit communities get destroyed like this, reduced to a handful of tweakers living in a mobile home in the middle of those redwood giants. Doesn’t even feel like you’re in 21st Century America, either forgotten willfully or ignorantly by an “caring” and “tolerant” neoliberal government. If you know someone strung out on drugs or someone whose at risk, reach out to them, sometimes just having someone to talk to is all it takes
