>>6669834Instead of completely changing track and going from teaching to welding, why not just start a STEM-based pre-K program?
Rich parents will pay stupid amounts of money to send their kids to anything that says "STEM" in the title, pre-K school/day care is pretty expensive ($1,200/month for "good" ones in my area), and doing a STEM theme for kids that age would be as easy as just doing a different elementary physics or chemistry experiment every day. You could literally do a baking soda volcano once a week and you'd be printing money.
$1,200 x 12 kids = $14.4k/month
If you found another like-minded teacher you could enlarge the class size and add an assistant . Once it started doing well enough you could sell franchise opportunities and start making even more money without doing any additional work.
Even with the costs of licensing and feeding the kids you'd be making way more money than you are right now and be doing way less work. Seems like a no-brainer.
