Knowing so does make a difference, and takes away the feeling that you're being mocked. It's like, when the bad guy in a cowboy movie shoots at somebody's feet to make them dance. The person getting shot is doing their maneuvers not to mock the guy with the gun, but to not get shot. That's kind of how I see the flies around here. They cannot even think about mocking me, because they're so focused with their slowed time perception on just not dying, they have to take the situation serious. I have no idea why they think it's a good idea to come back and keep annoying you, that kind of puts a dent in my theory, but still, when you look at it in the way that you're the one truly in charge, then it sort of turns into fun.
For me, it's just as good to swing a book around at them and make them go away for a while, even if I don't end up actually killing one. I don't know about you, but the ones here actually tend to learn their lesson and not show their faces again, at least not for a while. So, I still relish in the fact that I put them through fly Vietnam and traumatized the little shits, even if I didn't end them. Making them scatter away and fear you gets you feeling just as good.
But of course, the flies where you live might be way more gutsy, I've been told there are some in the US that bite you while you're walking around outside, not giving a damn about how much you're moving or anything. And they come in packs. I'm not talking about bees, no.
The ones I've been dealing with this summer have been littler ones that actually don't even make that annoying buzzing, so, I guess I can just credit this to my own experience, you probably have way more bothersome flies where you're at.
Char limit.
