Surely if your son started to spread his wings and flourish in ways unimaginable if you were of sound mind you would be happy for him and wish him the best, rather than wanting to keep him safe in ignorance. It's fear of what's on the other side that keeps us trapped. Should we yearn to remain captive in paradise, or see what's on the other side?
I must qualify this by saying I do NOT believe in evil, I do believe in love and light, for all. I do NOT believe in this in an egoistical manner. It's just the way that God behaves in the Old Testament is extremely sus. Yes, I haven't read the Bible in its entirety, I am just in my infancy of learning and spiritual growth. Who holds the truth? I just want to know the TRUTH. What does God fear that he doesn't want us to know?
