At the beginning Krishna says a just war is the best thing that could happen to Arjuna, that he should not run away and he also tells Arjuna that there is no difference between killing your enemy since he is going to die anyway and later reincarnate, even without Arjuna's doing. But later he says several times that you shouldn't hurt anybody and respect all living things.
Is this just a selfless action versus a selfish action? Or is it because Arjuna is a Kshatriya? Or is it something deeper?
