I had one that was not full sized/grown run up on me while I was walking near home in broad daylight, no owner or people in sight. Since it was only the dog I was fairly certain where things were going, it was snarling, eyes locked on me, then jumped. I did the best I could, I sidestepped its jump at my torso and punched it as hard as I could between it’s ears the top on it’s head. It’s face hit the gravel before it’s paws did, it did a full flip into a garbage bin. For being so aggressive at first, it gave up quickly. I picked up a rock and it did that ambling jog the other way. If I would have had any other weapons I would have used them, no doubt.
