>>20498780The elevator comes to a halt on the third floor, and as the doors slide open, Cassie narrows her eyes and sighs.
“It’s called ‘The Angel Lounge’,” Lonergan says, as Cassie looks the place over, taking in the mostly red and white colour scheme, a number of posters of Nikki and Spirit on the walls and a series of stripper poles.
Cassie shakes her head. “Have this floor closed until the changes are reverted. And shut that damn music off. Sounds like the type of shite that plays in the stupid kik-kok videos Nikki sends me.”
“Boss, there’s one thing you should know,” Lonergan mutters. “Since your sister changed this floor up… the profits generated here almost doubled. And, well, she had us start distributing Rush in pill form here… the sales have been… well they increased.”
Cassie folds her arms. Nikki and her friend’s ideas were… good? “Ok, fine,” she says. “Nikki can have her ‘Angel Lounge’, as long as it’s making me money… but that doesn’t change the fact that you’ve proven yourself to be incompetent by letting Sheila Foster humiliate you yet again.”
Lonergan lowers his head, and a grin forms on Cassie’s lips. “Get your sorry arse back to my penthouse and wait for me to come and administer your punishment.”
Lonergan nods sheepishly and as he leaves, another of Cassie’s employees, U. G. Lee Bastardo arrives. “Good to see you around again boss. There’s a woman downstairs saying she’s a guest of yours. Claims she’s your cousin.”
