Because I have, there was this game I played I called Epic battle fantasy, and the first game was just simple mindless monster slaying, but as the games progressed, it became more, it was a story about friendship and love, and with the 5th game, freewill and how powerful love/friendship is, especially when fighting against a evil that wishes to take away the free will of all and make the world nothing but a clockwork machine with no individuality, and part of this like your a god or a guardian angel, guiding the characters in the game, you need them to do stuff and they trust you to guide them safely, I'm sorry if this is a lot to take in, I just find it impressive how a simple piece of media that seems childish on the surface can make you feel so many emotions to the point it's overwhelming...
