A few weeks back, WWA Tag Team Champions Warhorse laid out a challenge they called "The Derby", a four-way extreme rules tag team match open to all challengers, with the winners getting a shot at their titles at Judge, Yuri & Executioner. Now four teams have taken the call to arms and will fight each other in a brutal war for the chance at winning gold!
First up, the team of Jersey Devil and Visigoth Girl. The Jersey Devil has paved a path of destruction in the hardcore division, coming within inches of winning the Hardcore Title. The extreme nature of the Derby is sure to help the Devil, and with the fearsome barbarian Visigoth Girl by her side, the two of them will be a force to be reckoned with.
Not ones to be intimidated, Kasumi O'Brian and Kelly DiVanna of the Widowmaker Society will be facing them in the ring. Kasumi and Kelly, along with Cassie Kade, earned a big win against the team of Andi Kestrel, Robyn McDaid and Lillith at Clash in the Kingdom, and now the two of them are looking to get a second PWE win in a row.
Their war with Kestrel and McDaid isn't over though, as the two of them have also announced themselves for the match. Training hard in the dojo, the pair are looking to redeem themselves and win big at JYE.
But O'Brian and DiVanna aren't the only old opponents they'll be facing again. The Rat 'n' Cat Connection of Nico and Ratasha fought Andi and Robyn to a thrilling draw at the last show, and now wish to get the decisive win that will earn them a shot at the tag titles!
