I don't think it's a joke, it might have been at first but no one makes the same joke again and again for years and still thinks it's funny, and I don't want to call them closeted chasers either because I'm fairly certain most people don't secretly want what they claim to hate. Some of them just like arguing with people but there are others who seem absolutely convinced that there's a trans cabal out there to take away everything they love. They seem to suffer more than however much they think they can make others suffer.
