In the Pentateuch, the gods of many other tribes are not spoken about such that they don't exist. Yahweh is merely mad that those tribes don't worship *him*. He is incredibly jealous, but there is no notion that the other popular gods of the region don't exist. And, quite explicitly, magic is talked about as being legitimate. The Pharaoh's magicians quite specifically mimic many of Moses' (aided by Yahweh) party tricks.
The book is fucking retarded. Anyone that reads it as anything other than ridiculous desert people ramblings from an ancient time is retarded.
