>>20216009The thing is "bots shitting up the board" was never as big of an issue as the jannies made it out to be. /biz/ hadn't changed much from how it's been since 2017. Making threads about random shitcoins and talking about what you've bought was normal and accepted as part of the board. Then suddenly jannies started deleting threads and banning, seemingly arbitrarily. They're leave up blatant scams while deleting threads discussing legitimate coins. So people speculated they were purposefully hiding coins, or whitelisting certain coins. People talking about this got banned too. When it became obvious that the moderation was insane, they made the sticky and pretended there was some massive new problem with spam and advertisement. It was an excuse. The main problem /biz/ had was that is had become a slow board, and now it's completely dead.
It's also possibly part of a test run for wider site verification, or some other greater goal.
