Another thing is that people are talking as if the situation is small businesses or individual factories in competition with eachother. Obviously, that's not the real situation at all. The vast majority of businesses are run by a few huge conglomerates that largely control the government and influence things in their own favor. An actual system that's composed predominantly of small, individual businesses competing with each other is called penny capitalism, which can be a good thing, but is not what really exists in the modern age.
