>>8493228I haven't played the game yet but I've seen a playthrough and fervently read the wiki. At no point did I ever get truly depressed. Everything was really real and dark like it should be. The shit was fucked up from the beginning and it wasn't their fault. The fan fics of Larry x Sal are purely fanart and aren't canon at all even with the inclusion of Ashley (which is icing on the cake). They just make me smile and self insert for Sal. It's a really good story but you have to have an appreciation for the macabre to truly appreciate it.
