Every once in a while warmer states get .001" of snow and society collapses see pic related. Having lived in both regions and being aware of stereotypes of "winter" countries vs "winterless" countries I think it literally molds the personalities of the people living in these areas. There are consistent differences in mentality and personal traits of people that never experience winter and those that have frequently. I don't enjoy the winter but I prefer it over living among the people in the alternative
