On the land I grew up on in Maryland, things were pretty dull, basic mid-atlantic woodland and fields, but certain places were very beautiful, usually areas smaller than an acre, such as a particular bend in a stream or a small wetland or glade.
The point is that almost everywhere that isn't heavily ripped apart by man has beautiful places, even bone-dry deserts like the Atacama or polar inlets.
Also, reefs and the vastly underrated tidal-pools teaming with life.
