Check out the ancient Indian philosophical system called "pramana" -- it was in effect before Aristotle's systems of thought and is basically what we in the developed world use today on those rare cases when we actually want actual truth and validity
And of course the awareness of pramana was buried, because it's associated with brown-skinned people from outside of greater Europe and the racistly-approved "smart" races
