so basically as far as we're called the bulgarian's bulgarian they've been ruled by christians
yes, they had others in their realm as well, some slavic, some turkic, some "thracian" etc
either way, the christian point of view is that adam and eve were the first people
so all humans were christian at one point, and merely abandoned the truth at one point or another only to rejoin it later
