>>11052244At the risk of being contrarian, the original ideas that spawned "body positivity" were good:
>people shouldn't be bullied because of their body>certain profit-driven industries pushed imagery of rare beauty that made most women feel bad about themselves>shame, depression, anxiety, and insecurity about physical appearance is a serious problem, especially for teenagersBut of course, as with all Feminism, a few reasonable grievances were turned into something idiotic, anti-white, anti-male, anti-western etc... It went from the above to claiming that unhealthy things are really healthy. As always, Leftists attracted to the ideology failed to notice that Left-leaning Liberals (often Jewish) were the ones in positions of power in the fashion, publishing, and entertainment industries that were pushing the body images they found so objectionable. As always their ire was turned instead to Conservatives, Christians, White People generally, Men, "the patriarchy" etc..
i.e people who had never even picked up a fashion magazine, let alone ran one.
As always they failed to notice that it was largely something women were doing to themselves - i.e buying the magazines that made them insecure.
