>>994632Np leaf. I gave you one more (you) because you appear have the spark of change. Wanting to better yourself is the first step. Check. Realizing where and how you fucked up is the next step. Check for the most part. Abandoning this sense of learned helplessness you have is your next step. You should have the attitude of "I can do anything I put my fucking mind to.", because unless you're actually retarded, you can. Caveat for the pedantic brit: not everyone can be a fucking astrophysicist just because they put their mind to it, not everyone can be a professional athlete just because they put their mind to it. But as far as your case leaf, simply not being a NEET, and not feeling miserable and shit, finding meaning and happiness in life, becoming financially stable and independent, that you absolutely CAN do. Now to start, make sure you don't stay up late playing vidya or some shit. Wake up early and just accomplish one fucking thing you "don't want to do", or that is hard, whatever the fuck that may be to you, whether it's cleaning your room, going for a morning run, or interacting with a complete stranger. You need exposure therapy to the things that make you uncomfortable. It's the only way you'll overcome the learned helplessness you're suffering from. As fucking cliche as it sounds you literally just have to do it. Force yourself to fucking do it. The more you don't want to do it, the better you'll feel for actually doing it. Don't get caught in the trap of just doing one little thing and saying "oooh I accomplished something for the day back to being lazy", but if you have to, start small, just to build your inertia. Like with exercise, you can't just go from sitting on your ass for years to running marathons.
