But you must understand, the definition of a mile is arbitrary. A numerical coincidence that adds up to a number in miles is meaningless.
Meaningful numbers do not have physical units.
So for example, the ratio of the polar radius of the earth and the equatorial radius is a pure number. It doesn't matter if you use miles, feet, meters, etc.
Always focus on ratios. That's what Kepler was doing in his Platonic solid model of the solar system.
