I sometimes really wish I was from Europe. To me, the US often feels like it's part of the world but separate from the rest of the world. I feel like we have alienated ourselves to a point that, even though the rest of the world knows we are here, we are still like the weird kid in class that just never shuts up. It seems like there is a certain level of connection through culture and history that the rest of the world has that we will never fully grasp.
