God only seems to bestow miracles, or curses, on prophets and those involved with their journey. Moses was told what miracles God would do, and Jesus inherently was God and didn't perform miracles for those without faith. Occult stuff also must be real as the magicians in Egypt could perform minor miracles similar to but lesser than God's. So then what qualifies someone for a miracle? Peter literally saw Jesus perform magic yet lacked the faith to walk on water in the same capacity as him. Faith basically wasn't a factor, Peter would be denying reality not believing in Jesus. So how can someone "do miracles in Jesus's name"?
