Delilah D. Doyle sits backstage in the WWA physician’s office, just over a week removed from the worst night of her life. In an effort to impress Cassie Kade, she had challenged Cactus Jane, an old enemy of her employer. She lost, and not only did she lose but she was brutalised, as one could easily come to be in a match against Cactus Jane. The only positive Delilah could take from the encounter was that she had lasted far longer than anyone could have ever anticipated.
But what really pissed Delilah off wasn’t the loss. It was that when the match was over she was attacked. GreenDragon Sam. That was the name of her attacker. A newcomer, one of many to recently arrive in the WWA, but clearly the one most proactive in attempting to make a strong first impression.
While barely conscious, Delilah accepted a challenge issued by this woman, only for the match to be delayed - Delilah suffered a concussion and wasn’t cleared to compete. She looks up as the doctor turns to her, ready to delver his verdict. In mere moments she’d find out if she was deemed medically fit to wrestle at the upcoming show. If she’d have her chance at vengeance, her chance at impressing Cassie.
“I’m happy to report that you are medically cleared to compete,” the doctor announces with a smile on his face. “Delilah Double D vs GreenDragon Sam - it’s on, if that’s still what you want to do.”
Delilah rises to her feet, a determined look on her face. “Absolutely. I can’t let her get away with attacking me the way she did.”
The doctor sighs. “I figured you’d say something like that. Just… try not to get yourself concussed again so soon after you’ve been cleared.”
“Thank you doctor.” She starts toward the door, then looks back at him. “Perhaps Sam will be the one visiting you next time.”
