This is not something that happens on a human time scale, the liberal world will continue to collapse until eventually out of the mush and ruins of what was western civilization men with the ability to impose violence and order will force it on the population. This is not something that will be solved via politics or even this century. This is a multi century narrative that will play out and what will come out of it will be basically new religious system and thus new civilization.
In the medium term you’ll see ups and downs but the overall trend for the west is collapse and death. It think you will see a reprieve actually with the current populist right wing backlash that in relative terms will feel like almost a new golden age (think 80’s/90’s) but it will just be a temporary stabilization
Still on the timescale I’m thinking on this might be 20 or even 30 years.
However in the end the west is ultimately doomed since we killed our moral foundation and cannot bring it back without completely shattering modern society.
