It's a big cliche and if you visit in summer, it's tourist hell, but there's Bled (lake + castle). Bled's bigger but less visited (at least by tourists) neighbour to the west is lake Bohinj, that's a nice place. And if you're willing to spend a bit more, there's the Postojna cave, I've never been there myself (been to a bunch of other caves) but people have said great things about it. Very close nearby is also the Predjama castle (pic related), the biggest castle in a cave in the world - I'd say the only cave castle but Google only mentions the record.
