Remember that when you are a consumerist whore and you buy a bunch of things that are "finally going to allow you to do work" you are buying into a lie. You are like those Africans that build airplanes out of old pieces of wood and believe they will fly. It's magical thinking. I think people are doing this when they buy a bunch of golf clubs or video game accessories or hiking equipment or tools for their garage. They're hoping that consuming will put them in the position to do something with their lives. YOU ARE PLAYING PRETEND.
