>>7139016like, until the tobacco runs out? or until the pipe breaks? the corn cob i posted last night is like 4 years old and it has beeon on many hiking trips and left out in the rain many times, and if it is a briar (the root most of the wooden looking pipes are made of) it will last for decades, many pipes that were on the fron lines of ww1 are still doing fine, and if we are talking meerschaum? like the one i posted last night too, well, there are meerschaum pipes from 1723 still around
this pic of of my legend when it was like a year old, you can see that the stem is still transparent (this will change over time on the Missouri meerschaums)
also the "meerschaum" in the name missouri meerchaum has nothing to do with actual meerschaum pipes
