4chan is a far more healthy reflection of the web and human nature compared to other popular forums and sites where people communicate, let me explain.
On the internet you're anonymous in some sense, even when you have an identity because that identity can be in specific created for a purpose, to market products, to convince people on political, religious or ideological standpoints, etc.
Therefore one must always ask him or herself before entering a discussion the question if it's worth it? Am I not simply being trolled or baited by someone with a certain intention rather than someone innocent who simply wants to share his/her interests on the topic or is open to an honest discussion.
Everyone is biased about everything, this has to do with the environment you grew up in, your culture, color of skin and so forth.
People on avarage are not very smart, they are driven by emotions more so than critical thinking and skepticism.
The avarage forum attempts like any regime to control the flow of information, the narrative that's being driven hence a lot of things are tabboo but with the internet where people can talk about anything all over the world there will always be people immediatly offended.
Like the people that are instantly giving replies once they are triggered, they follow their emotions to the letter and base their opinion and writing on their feelings.
They do not analyze or think about what is being said, on any given subject you can have a multitude of correct and incorrect opinions given the origins an individuals background, so many things are perfectly normal for one person but conflict with the other and vice versa.
The point is that the internet draws in a lot of people who should not be here including those biased people trying to play god controlling the narrative.
Most people are too insecure, too infantile to be here, they simply project what has been programmed into them throughout their life.
