I was about to become homeless in the summer of 2016 after getting fired from Lexis Nexis in June and then North Highland also very quickly that summer. At North Highland, I was doing a data migration for the Atlanta food bank. I think the real story of the data was that it was the master file of the darknet snuff porn investigation. As I was studying the data architecture of the data system, they had this one weird object not like any of the others: [dbo.].[sycdefil] which appears to me to to say "Sick Defile," pic related.
The project docs for the "food bank data migration" were some giant Excel spread sheets that there was no way you could ever even look at 1/10th of at a time on a regular computer screen.
During the data processing at North Highland where I worked on this, it came to my attention that the SQL column "county" is often used as an aliased "country" column for putting international data into domestic data structures.
My supervisor Chris Ehrenreich was very cool there, but my boss Cliff was a dick. He fired me after a couple of weeks. After that, I put my resume on Career Builder again and heard about this job at Exide.
