I am proud to be an American because I have the freedom of speech, religion, the press, and the right to vote.
I can express my opinion on various subjects without the worry of being prosecuted or persecuted. I can speak out for or against my Government. Americans can have as many or as few children as they please, without the government interfering in their lives. The Government does not tell Americans that they may only have 1 or 2 children. Women can vote, show their faces, speak without fear of being beaten, work, have money, be single parents and even run for public office.
I am proud to be an American because of the constitution of the United States, Bill of Rights and Declaration of Independence. These guarantee me the right of freedom. The same freedom I take for granted every day that I get up. I have the freedom of going to school, even if I don't like it. I don't have to worry about having to drop out because my family is too poor for me to attend school, or buy me clothes so I can go to school. I can go to church on Sunday and worship God in the open. I can share my beliefs with my friends and I don't have to worry about being taken to jail for this. I can go to school and gather around the flagpole and pray in the study hall and not worry about getting kicked out of school, or being arrested. I can read my Bible, and tell anyone and everyone about my favorite book and not worry. I can attend youth group and not worry about it being raided.
